.36 Caliber Colt "Skin" Cartridge with a Portion of the Wooden Pack
Click on an image to enlarge
Here is an original cartridge for a Civil War revolver. This is the .44 caliber cartridge that would have been fired out of a Colt, Starr, Freeman or any other .44 caliber revolver. It has the lead bullet with the powder being held in the very thin and fragile "Skin" cartridge. What is neat about this cartridge is that it is still intact and it is in nice shape. It has some loss to the skin on one side but the powder is still in place. This is a neat piece.
