1st Florida 1863 Dated Confederate Quartermasters Stores Report

Here is a cool document from the Confederacy. This is an original quartermaster's report. This one was dated from July 4th 1863 from Jackson, Mississippi. It is on pre-printed brown tone paper that is filled in using brown ink. The paper measures 12 inches by 8-1/2 inches. It has the list of items that includes saddles, hames, water buckets, bits, halters and many more items. At the bottom it states that it was turned in by Captain Louis Hyer who was captain and assistant quartermaster for the 1st Florida Infantry. The records show that Hyer mustered into service at Pensacola, Florida on May 31st 1861. He lived until September 22nd 1867 and is buried in Pensacola.
