BOOM! 1864 Dated Enfield Pattern .75 Caliber Single Shot Pistol
Click on an image to enlarge
Don't you know this one would have made quite a BOOM! This is a single shot percussion pistol. It is English made and the lockplate has the stamp of the famous "TOWER" arsenal. Above the Tower marking, it has the clear production date of 1864. Behind the hammer, it has the British crown stamping still visible. The mechanics of the lockplate still catch on the first of the two positions. The barrel is full-length at 9 inches and fires a massive round ball of .75 caliber. At the breech of the barrel, you see the English style proof markings. If you notice, this gun is made like a musket with a pistol style grip. The stock is made of a single piece of dark wood and it has a cool ancient untouched attic color. It is designed with the brass triggerguard and ramrod guides. The ramrod is an old replacement. This is a cool looking 1864 dated Tower arsenal single shot pistol.
