Authentic 1862 Dated City of Natchez, Mississippi 50 Cent Treasury Warrant

Here is a neat note issued by the Treasurer of Natchez, Mississippi. It has the printed date of issue of January 1st 1862 in the center of the note. It was issued for the amount of 50 cents. It is hand signed and numbered in ink. When you look at the back of the note, you see that they printed it on paper that had already been used. This was cheaper than buying new paper during the hard times of the War. The
note measures 6-1/8th inches by 2-7/8ths inches. It comes
in an acid-free holder for display and preservation. What a neat piece of Civil War Mississippi currency.
