Very Scarce 1862 Dated Claiborne County, Mississippi 50 Cent Note

Here is a very scarce note. This is an original piece of currency issued during the Civil War by Claiborne County, Mississippi. This one was issued by the Treasurer of Claiborne County for the amount of 50 cents. It has the printed date of issuance of July 7, 1862. It is correctly hand signed and numbered. The white paper has aged to a pretty tan tone with the red printing. The note measures 5 inches by 2-1/2 inches. It comes in an acid-free holder for display and preservation.
