This is a tough to find original Civil War 50 cent bill
from the State of Florida. This is pattern that was issued in 1863. In the
center of the note it has the printed date of issue of February 2nd 1863. It has the printed place of issuance of Tallahassee, Florida. It is
correctly hand signed and number in old ink. Across the center of the note it
boldly reads "THE STATE OF FLORIDA". It is overprinted in blue and red ink.
This was to aid in the prevention of counterfeiting of the note. The back of
the paper is blank just as it should be. A blank back such as this is known as
the note being "Uniface". This note is in nice well circulated condition
and comes in an acid free holder for preservation and display. There are two tape spots on the lower corners and it is priced accordingly. The note
measures 4-1/2 inches by 2-3/8ths inches in overall size. This is a neat piece of currency from Florida.
