Citizens Bank of New Orleans Unissued $2 with Sailor Image

This is a true work of art as much as it is a bank note. It
is an original $2.00 note from the Citizens Bank of Louisiana in New Orleans,
Louisiana. This one was never issued as you can tell by the blanks where the
names and signatures would have gone. This note displays superbly and was never
issued and it is from the pre-Civil War era as they were not printed after the
Civil War. It has the scene of the maiden in the center. In the lower
left hand corner it has the sailor image. If you notice down in the left of center
of the note it has the "NEW ORLEANS"
location of the bank. The back of the note is left blank which is referred to
by collectors as being "uniface". The overall size of note measures 7-3/8ths
inches by 3 inches. The note comes in an acid free holder for display and
preservation. What a fantastic display piece!
