This is a nice Civil War Louisiana $100 bill. It was issued
by the State of Louisiana and is proudly marked across the center of the note.
In the center it has the image of the proposed State Capitol Building. The
building was never actually built. On the left hand side it has the bust view
image of Louisiana’s Governor Thomas O. Moore. This note was issued from
Shreveport on March 10th 1863 and is marked as such below the image
of the General. On the lower right hand corner it has the image of a Lady
Liberty holding a spear with a Confederate shield below her. The note is nicely
and correctly hand signed and numbered in fine old ink. On the back of the note
it has elaborate green ink with the "100" in the center. The note is in
attractive lightly circulated condition with the hole on the lower left hand side. It comes in an acid free holder for preservation and
display.
