Here is an original Confederate 2-piece sword belt buckle. This is the classic style that was made by the firm of Leech & Rigdon, also known as the Memphis Novelty Works Company. It has the desirable "CS" lettering in the center of the buckle. On the back of the tongue bar, it has the dip in the middle like the one in the book. It has the oak leaf design pattern to the circular wreath portion. This is the pattern that is illustrated as plate #031 in the Mullinax book on Confederate belt buckles. It is unrepaired and in nice shape as you can see in the picture. This is a nice excavated classic 2-piece sword belt buckle by Leech & Rigdon.
