Here is a nice original bank note from the "THE CITY OF RICHMOND" of the state of Virginia. This
one was printed for the amount of 30 Cents. It was issued on April 14th 1862 and is so printed on the top right hand side of the note. This is right in the
heart of a town that would become one of the fiercest battles of the Civil War,
Richmond. It is
correctly hand signed and numbered in ink. These notes are printed on the front
side and were left blank on the reverse. The note is in nice circulated
condition and is 100% authentic in all regards. There is a small piece of tape on the reverse that is mentioned for exactness. This pattern of bank note
measures approximately 5-34ths inches by 2-1/4th inches in overall size. It
comes in an acid free holder for display and preservation.
