Mobile, Alabama Issued 1862 Dated Mechanics Aid Assoc. $2.00 Note

This is an original Civil War piece of currency from Confederate Alabama. This $2.00 note was issued by the Mechanics Aid Association of Mobile proudly printed across the left side of the note. It has the image of a seated milkmaid with a shield and wheat sheaf. It was dated from August 19th 1862. It is correctly hand signed in ink. These notes are printed on the front side and were left blank on the reverse. This process of only printing on the face of the note is known to collectors as the bill being "Uniface". The note is in well circulated condition and is 100% authentic in all regards. It has the overall size of the note measures 6-1/2 inches by 3 inches. It comes in an acid free holder for display and preservation.
