Confederate City of Mobile, Alabama Issued 1862 Dated $2.00 Note

This is an original Civil War piece of currency from Confederate Alabama. This $2.00 note was issued by the City of Mobile proudly printed across the top center of the note. It has the image of a two men battling on horseback in the center. It was dated from May of 1862. It is correctly hand signed in ink. These notes are printed on the front side and were left blank on the reverse but you can see that they used paper that had already been used to save money. This process of only printing on the face of the note is known to collectors as the bill being "Uniface". The note is in circulated condition and is 100% authentic in all regards. There are some tears and wear and it is priced accordingly. It has the overall size of the note measures 6-1/4ths inches by 2-5/8ths inches. It comes in an acid free holder for display and preservation.
