Nazi Army Single Decal Model 1916 German Soldier's Helmet

Here is a nice piece from the World Wars. It is an original German helmet. This is the classic style that was used by the regular fighting man of the German army and is officially referred to as the Model 1916. They look very similar to the ones used by the Germans in the Second World War produced helmets except they have the "Frankenstein" bolts on the side of the helmet. This one was worn during the 2nd World War because of the field green paint and the left hand side has the applied Nazi decal. It is the Army pattern eagle with the swastika in her talons. It has the fine color all over and you see the decal quite clearly. On the inside of the helmet the liner is missing in action. On the side of the inside it has the marking "64" still visible. On one side, it has the name "Ritter" scratched into the paint. This is nice fighting man's helmet that could have seen service in both of the World Wars.
