Here is a beautifully designed note from the Central Bank in
Nashville, Tennessee. It was issued from Nashville during the 1850's. At one time it would have been so dated on the front of the note and signed but the ink has faded beyond visibility. The center of the note shows the soldier with his family. In the lower right corner, it has
the image of George Washington on horseback. The reverse of the note is left unprinted except for the "FIVE" in pale red ink that was added to help prevent counterfeiting. It is in very nice well circulated
condition and has nice color to the ink. The note comes in an acid free holder
for display and preservation.
