What a denomination! Here is a nice original bank note from the "The Town of Leesburg" of the state of Virginia. This one was printed for the amount of 12-1/2 cents. Yes, that's right, a note for the princely sum of 12-1/2 cents. It was issued on December 1st 1861 and is so printed on the top center of the note but it is very tough to read. In the center of the note it has the image of the the dog sitting while guarding the safe. On the right hand side, it has the Lady Justice image and on the other side it has President Washington. It is correctly hand signed and numbered in ink. These notes are printed on the front side and were left blank on the reverse. The note is in heavily circulated condition and is 100% authentic in all regards. This pattern of bank note measures approximately 7 inches by 2-7/8ths inches in overall size. It comes in an acid free holder for display and preservation.
