Here is a nice original Civil War veteran reunion ribbon. This one is from the 1895 reunion of the members of the 4th Michigan Infantry. They served in many of the roughest battles of the Civil War including First Battle of Bull Run, the Peninsular Campaign, the Second Bull Run, Chantilly, Antietam, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, the Wilderness, Spotsylvania Court House and Cold Harbor. At the top of the ribbon it has the Union eagle with the "23rd Annual Reunion / Old 4th Mich . INFANTRY.". The bottom has the Jonesville, Mich. location of the reunion as well as the June 20th 1895 date of the reunion. The ribbon is tan white silk that has the blue and red lettering color. The ribbon measures 8 inches by 1-3/4ths inches in overall size. It comes in an acid free holder for display and preservation.
