Here is a nice original Civil War veteran reunion ribbon. This one is from the 1897 reunion of the members of the 4th Michigan Infantry. They served in many of the roughest battles of the Civil War including First Battle of Bull Run, the Peninsular Campaign, the Second Bull Run, Chantilly, Antietam, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, the Wilderness, Spotsylvania Court House and Cold Harbor. At the top of the ribbon it has the "5th Corps / 1st Division / 2d Brigade". Then it has the Corps badge and below the badge is "25th ANNUAL REUNION OLD 4TH MICHIGAN INFANTRY". The bottom has the Hudson, Mich. location of the reunion as well as the June 20th 1884 date of the reunion. The ribbon is white silk that has the blue and red lettering color. The ribbon measures 5-3/4ths inches by 1-5/8ths inches in overall size. It comes in an acid free holder for display and preservation.
