Click on an image to enlarge
This is an authentic autograph of George W. Randolph. Randolph served as the Confederate Secretary of War from March until November in 1862. The autograph is beautifully done in dark brown ink and he adds "Secretary of War". The autograph is on a document where the Confederate States had commissioned Dr. A.L. Breysacher as surgeon and instructs him to report to General Hardee. Some of the paper has been lost but the signature is beautiful. The document measures 8 inches by 6-1/2 inches in size. It comes with a modern xerox image of Randolph in a fine suit of clothes.
