14th New Hampshire Infantry Discharge Paper From 1865

Here is a fine original Civil War soldier's discharge paper. This is the document that every soldier wanted to get. It states that the soldier has served honorably. This one is for Langdon J. Reed who had served with the 14th New Hampshire Infantry. The records show that he enlisted on August 13th 1862 and served until July 8th 1865. He rose to the rank of Sergeant. The paper is pre-printed with the beautiful Union eagle at the top. Th eblanks on the paper are nicely filled out in brown ink. A brief printout of Redd's service and of the regiment will accompany the document.
