Beautifully Designed 1861 Corporation of Danville, Virginia 75 Cent Note

This is a beautifully designed bank note. This one was issued by the Corporation of Danville in Virginia. This one is dated from July 2nd 1861. On the left hand side, it has the image of Lady Justice and on the other side it has the Indian Maiden. In the center of the note it has the "SEVENTY-FIVE CENTS" denomination. It is correctly hand signed and numbered in brown ink. It measures 5-1/2 inches by 3 inches in overall size. The note is only printed on one side which is referred to by collectors as being "Uniface". This is a note that is not an easy piece to find!
