Here is a really cool designed pistol that looks like it is straight out of a pirate movie. This flintlock pistol would have been made in the late 1700's to the early part of the 1800's. The gun is in the original flintlock configuration. The mechanics of the lock are frozen in place. It is designed with a beautiful walnut stock that is complimented with iron and brass fittings. The trigger has the ornate curved designs to the end of the trigger as you can see in the images. On the bottom of the grip it has the large iron grip cap that is inlaid with silver detail work. The barrel of the gun is 8-1/2 inches in length with the total gun measuring 14 inches in overall size. The smooth bore of the gun fires a bullet of approximately .60 in caliber. It has the single barrel band holding it onto the stock. The stock is worn and has the break as you see in the images. It has a replacement ramrod in the channel under the barrel. What a neat gun especially when you consider that it is over 200 years old.
