This is a neat excavated artifact. It is an original Civil War inkwell that is made of crockery. These are of the same material that the Civil War ginger beer bottles come in. it has a nice shade of brown to the crockery. This is a must have for any camp display. It stands a couple of inches tall and is 1-7/8ths inches in size across. The verbal history that accompanied this piece is that it was recovered in Virginia a few years back. It will make a fine addition to any collection.
