1861 Corporation of Alexandria, Virginia 25 Cent Bank Note

This is a tough to find note! This is an original Civil War piece of currency from Confederate Virginia. This 25 Cent note was issued by the Corporation of Alexandria, Virginia. It has the printed and red ink issue date of June 21st 1861 on the lower side of the note. Alexandria was occupied by Union troops on May 24, 1861, meaning that the 25ยข note was issued after the city was occupied. The front has the note has the black ink print. It is signed and numbered in ink. These notes are printed on the front side and were left blank on the reverse. This is known to collectors as the bill being "Uniface". The note is in circulated condition and is 100% authentic in all regards. It has the overall size of the note measures 5-3/8ths inches by 2-1/2 inches. It comes in an acid free holder for display and preservation.
