Here is a beautiful looking note. This is a piece of currency was issued by the Exchange Bank of Virginia in Norfolk, Virginia and is marked as such along the center of the note. This bank was headquartered in Norfolk, the Exchange Bank of Virginia had branches in Abington, Alexandria, Clarkesville, Lynchburg, Petersburg, Richmond, Salem, and Weston. It has the hand written issue date of May 3rd 1855. The note depicts the image of the Indian brave in the center. On the left hand side of the note, it has the Virginia state seal image. On the right hand side it has the sailing ship image. It is made with the pale deep red ink with the bank's name in the center. The note is in beautiful circulated condition all over as you can see.
