Click on an image to enlarge

This is an authentic CDV image of Confederate General Sterling Price (1809-1867). It is a nice clear CDV of the general in uniform. Sterling Price is an important historical figure even without the Civil War. He served as a member of Congress from 1844 to 1846 when he resigned to served in the Mexican War. He served as a colonel of the 2nd Missouri Infantry. Then he served as military Governor of New Mexico and then Governor of Missouri from 1853 to 1857. His Civil War battles included Wilson's Creek, Pea Ridge, Iuka, Corinth and Helena. After the Confederate Surrender he went to Mexico until 1866. This is a great looking image of the general. The card stock is blank on the reverse so it wouldn't advertise for the actual printer. The overall size of a CDV image is approximately 2.5 inches by 4 inches in size. It is a fine original CDV that will make a solid addition to any Confederate Civil War collection.
