This is a really cool newspaper. It is an original New York Tribune Newspaper dated August 15th 1862. The cover has the has the multiple articles about the the War news. The fourth column has an article about the meeting at the White House between Abraham Lincoln and a group of free black gentlemen. The article states the headline of "Speech of the President - He Holds that the White and Black Races Cannot Dwell Together - He urges Intelligent Colored Men to Exert Themselves for Colonization - He Suggests Central American as the Colony." What a great newspaper with wonderful content. The paper has the wear to the edges but will look great when hanging on your wall. This one will look great framed up on your wall.
