This bank was headquartered in Norfolk, the Exchange Bank of Virginia had branches in Abington, Alexandria, Clarkesville, Lynchburg, Petersburg, Richmond, Salem, and Weston. It has the hand written issue date of April 5th 1862. The note depicts the image of the cotton wagons by the river in the center. It is made with the blank back which is known as it being "Uniface".
