This is an excellent reunion badge from the Grand Army of the Republic. The Grand Army of the Republic was the veteran's organization made up of Union veterans of the Civil War. This medal commemorates the reunion that was held in Columbus, Ohio in 1931. The top bar has the original attachment pin on the reverse. Hanging from that bar is the ribbon with a celluloid image of Union General in uniform. The medallion itself has the reunion date and location as well as the "65th Annual Encampment" of the Ohio Department. It also has the ribbon supporting Ayres Adams for Department Commander. It is a beautiful designed reunion badge in excellent shape.
