This is a scarce and beautiful gun! It is the belt model of the E.A. Prescott Patent revolver. According to Flayderman there were only a few hundred of these revolvers made and he states that they are believed to be the earliest pattern of Prescott revolver. They fire a .32 caliber rimfire cartridge from the 5 inch barrel. The side of the barrel has the marking of "E.A. PRESCOTT, WORCESTER, MASS. PAT. OCT. 2, 1860". When you take the cylinder pin out from under the barrel, you can see the "54" serial numbers. The frame of this gun has a gorgeous deep color to the brass that displays as well as any gun you could hope for. The original 2-piece walnut grips are intact on the handle and have a nice worn appearance all over. The mechanics of the gun work smoothly on all positions. This is only the 2nd one of these that we have been able to offer in our 30 years of business.THIS ITEM IS FEATURED ON
