This is a great little button! It is the pewter 19mm button for the 63rd British Infantry regiment that was known by them as the 67th "Regiment of Foot". This regiment was not in in the states during the Revolutionary War and it is priced accordingly. This British pewter button marked to the 67th (South Hampshire) Regiment of Foot. This is the pre-1782 version of the button emulating the French design. Nice rope edge, with a small chip at the 7 o'clock position. It has the Nutting maker's mark as is typical with buttons from this period. The original shank is intact. It measures approximately 19mm and was probably a vest or light tunic button. This is a fine looking button.
