Here is a great looking sword that is 300 years old. This is the beautifully designed sword that is referred to by collectors as a rapier / small sword. This sword would have been made around 1690 to 1720. The full-length blade has the markings on each side that includes "EN TOLETO" which lets us know it would have been made in Toledo, Spain. The stylish grip and handguard is made of multiple pieces of cast brass. The brass is formed in the Rococo style with the gorgeous floral and geometric designs. The brass pieces have a gorgeous golden color to the brass. It is missing the scabbard as is so often the case with swords of this period. This is an exceptional sword that was made 50 years before the American Revolution.
