Here is a very fine non-excavated cavalry spur. This is the EXACT spur that is pictured and described on page 60 of the fine spur book by Dr. Bob Baird entitled Confederate, US and Other Civil War Used Spurs. He explains how this is a Confederate made version of the famous US Model 1859 spur. The spur is made of heavy brass that is sand cast. The spur is in beautiful non-excavated or very early excavated condition. It has the iron rowel that still spins. This is a great looking spur that was published!
