Here is an original $5.00 currency note from the state of Texas. This one is hand
dated from January 8h 1862. It states that it is to be used for "Civil Service" which would have been for the services of a man named "F.R. Lubbock". On the left hand side of the note it has the "FIVE" lettering and the image of George Washington. It has the black and green ink printing that still displays quite well. This
note is nice displaying circulated condition. It measures 7 inches by 3 inches in
overall size. This note comes in an acid-free holder for display and
preservation.
