This
is a beautiful design on this one! It is a fine original Confederate States of
America $20.00 bill issued from Richmond, Virginia on September 2nd
1861. This is one of the most beautifully designed notes ever made by the
Confederacy. It has the tall mast sailing ship in the center with the sails
full of wind and the waves whipping below the ship. On the left hand side it
has the sailor in uniform with the masts of a ship slightly visible behind him.
The note is correctly hand signed and numbered as it should be. It is in attractive
circulated condition and displays well. This is the version listed as T-18 in
Criswell's Confederate Currency book. The overall size of the note measures
7.25 inches by 3 inches. You can see the circular hole in the paper. This is the mark that lets us know that the note was taken out
of Circulation. This process was known as cut-cancellation. This means that you
know that this note was actually in circulation during the Civil War. This piece is 100% authentic as are all of our pieces
of Confederate currency. It comes in an acid free holder for preservation and
display.
