Here is a fine original Civil War Confederate newspaper. This is an authentic Rebel newspaper printed in Richmond, Virginia. This one is clearly dated Friday Morning February 5th 1863 at the top of the paper along with the paper's name the "DAILY RICHMOND EXAMINER". It is the one page, front and back, newspaper. It has lots of interesting articles on the war from the Confederate viewpoint of a city that was the end goal of the Yankees. Among the articles is one that tells of the Yankees gathering at Vicksburg. In one section it tells of one of Confederate General John Hunt Morgan's raids. On the back page it has several interesting advertisements. The paper has the usual wear around the edges from being over 140 years old and it displays well. It has had a plastic cover placed on it to protect it. It measures 17-1/2 inches by 24 inches in overall size. This is a neat Confederate paper.
