Framed Salt Print Image of a Soldier in Uniform With Eagle Pommel Sword

This is a very nice piece for the wall of your relic room. It is a framed oval albumen size salt print style image of a pre-War Union soldier in uniform. The image itself is 8 inches by 10 inches in size and shows the seated view of the soldier in his uniform. He proudly wears the double breasted style military frock coat with the double row of buttons down the front. On the shoulders of the coat he has on the ornate shoulder epaulets. In his hands he holds his sword and it is the version with the eagle style pommel cap. On the table beside of him is his model 1851 shako with the "US" insignia on the front. The image is nicely held in an old gilded wooden frame. The frame has some age cracks and chips but as you can see it still displays well. The frame measures 13-1/2 by 11-1/2 inches in size. On the back of the piece it has a Xerox image of what the back of the image itself looks like and it has some old notations in ink in addition to the New York photographer marking. It is ready to hang on your wall.
