Here is you chance at something you very seldom see. This is an original bundle of 12 nice condition original Civil War artillery hat cords. This is the way they would have left the factory. The cords like this would have adorned the Hardee style officer's hats or occasionally slouch hats of the period. These are in very nice shape and have great original color all over. One of them has separated somewhere along the line and is mentioned for exactness. They even have the original string tying the tassels together on the end. On the top it has the larger original red string tying them all together. The very fine wool cord is the red color that denotes the artillery branch of service. This bundle came straight from the large collection of Civil War surplus that was at Bannerman's Island in New York. Bannerman sold authentic Civil War surplus for over 100 years after the Civil War. We should all credit him with saving the majority of the Civil War history that is surviving today. These usually bring $45 to $50 each these days. You get all of these for only $395. That is under $33 each. This is an excellent attractive original bundle of Civil War artillery hat cords.
