Here is a beautifully designed $10 note issued from the Southwestern Bank of Virginia that was located in Wythville, Virginia. The pre-war $10 note was issued on January 2nd 1860. It featured a vignette of Agriculture and Industry seated flanked by portraits of Joseph Cloyd at left and David Graham at right. It also has the Virginia state seal design at the top. The $10 has a number of stamp hinge reinforcements of various minor imperfections. This is a fine looking, scarce early Virginia bank note.
