This is an amazing piece for your relic room. This is a beautiful displaying original uncut sheet of 1863 notes from the Bank of the State of South Carolina. There are 18 notes with multiple denominations. There are 2 each of the 5 and 10 cent notes with 3 of the 15 cent notes. There are 4 of the 25 cent notes with 4 of the 50 cent notes and ending with 3 of the 75 cent notes. Each one is hand signed and un-numbered
as it should be with this style of note. In the center of each note it has the
South Carolina Palmetto Tree design. In the lower left-hand corner is the
printed date of issuance of February 1st 1863. It has the blue ink on the front
and the pale red on the back. These colors were added to help prevent
counterfeiting. The overall size of each note is 2-1/2 inches by 3-3/4ths
inches. This note is in attractive un-circulated condition. The sheet comse in an acid
free holder for preservation and display.
