Here is an original $2.50 currency note from the state of Texas. This one is hand
dated from January 4th 1862. It states that it is to be used for "Military Service" which would have been for the services of a man named "J.C. McCleal". On the left hand side of the note it has the "$2,50" lettering. It has the black ink printing that still displays quite well. On the back of the note it has the dark blue ink with "TREASURY WARRANT" in the center. It measures 6-1/4ths inches by 2-7/8ths inches in
overall size. This note comes in an acid-free holder for display and
preservation.
