The verbal history is that this piece was excavated in 1990 at the site of the 1st VT's encampment near Newport News VA. It is made of a large piece of cast brass with the design of the Vermont stag above a braided cord device. It measures approximately 4 inches by 3 inches in size. There is one antler is missing that was replaced for the picture in the magazine but now that is missing. This is a fantastic piece that is quite scarce and deserves a good home.
