Here is an original beautifully designed bank note from
North Carolina. It is an 1860 dated bank note issued by the Bank of Washington
that was located in Washington, North Carolina. This one is for the amount of $3.00
and it has the two large "3" printed on the left hand side and the upper right
hand corner it has another "3". In the upper left of the note it has the
image of the three workers. Down in the lower right corner it has the classic
view of President George Washington. It is correctly hand signed and numbered
and also hand dated from November 17th 1860. With this note being
dated 1860 from North Carolina it surely was at one time or another in the
hands of many a Confederate. It has the pale orange overprinting that was to aid in the preventing of counterfeiting. The overall size of the note measures 7-1/8th
inches by 3 inches. The note is very heavily circulated and is 100% authentic.
It comes in an acid free holder for display and preservation.
