This is a beautiful original 1862 dated $100.00 note
from the state of Georgia. It was issued from Milledgeville, Georgia on January
15th 1862 and is so dated at the top of the note. This note has a
fine look with a beautiful design. It has the likeness of the goddess Ceres standing
with scales in the center. On the sides of the note it has the sailor standing
with a flag on the dock. It has the Georgia state seal arch in the bottom
center of the note. It has the pale red protector panel printed in the center
of the note that was added to help prevent counterfeiting of the note. It also
has the black oval stamps of the Georgia state treasury. The overall size of
this note measures 7 inches by 2-3/4th inches in size. The note is
in beautiful un-circulated condition. It is correctly hand signed and
numbered. The note comes in an acid free holder for display and preservation.
