This is a neat early bayonet. This is the unmarked style that was so often used on military muskets in the War of 1812 time period. This one measures 18-1/2 inches in overall length. It has a 15-1/2 inch blade that is wide and was made with the top of the blade that is made with the off center fuller. There are 2 spots notched out of the sides of the blade. The socket is 2-3/4th inches with the bridge design that has been trimmed out. It has a nice dark tone all over and is in better than relic condition. This is a very cool and affordable bayonet especially considering it has been 200 years since it was made. This is a lot of artifact for the price.
