This is a fine piece of history from a Civil War veteran. It is an original reunion badge that was made to commemorate the 40th reunion of the 7th New Hampshire Veterans (Civil War). The gold ink states that the reunion was held on August 22nd to the 25th 1916 in The Weirs, New Hampshire. The celluloid has a fine tone of Captain Paul Whipple who was the 7th New Hampshire during the Civil War. The top has the original original pin intact on the reverse. It has the maker's marking of the Ehrman Company firm in Milford, New Hampshire. Overall the pieces measures 5-1/2 inches by 2-1/2 inches in size. This one is very nice and will enhance any collection.
