Nicely Framed Full-Plate Tintype Image of a Union Artilleryman in Uniform

Here's a piece that is ready to be hung on your wall. It is an original full plate tintype image of a union soldier in uniform. He wears the frock style military jacket and you can clearly see the buttons going down the front of the coat. In his hand, he holds the kepi style military hat. The other hand is holding the handle of his sword. You can see that the photographer gilded the insignia on the front of the hat. His insignia is the cross cannon design that denotes the artillery branch of service. They also tinted the cheeks on the soldier's face to give it a more lifelike appearance. These full plate tintype images are quite tough to come by because they were expensive when they were made. The image will measures 6.5" x 8.5" in overall size. As you can see it comes beautifully framed in a wooden frame and is ready to be hung your wall. The frames measures 14-1/2 inches by 16-1/2 inches in overall size. It is a great Civil War image of a Union artillery officer.
