Here is a nice original Civil War veteran reunion ribbon. This one is from the 1889 reunion of the members of the 7th Connecticut Infantry. At the top of the ribbon it has the"Twentieth Annual REUNION 7th Reg't C.V." with the Corps badge and regiment design medal in the middle. At the bottom it has the black lettering reads "BLOOMFIELD, CONN, SEPT 18th, 1889". The 7th Connecticut fought in many battles including Fort Wagner, Drewry's Bluff, Fort Fisher and Wilmington. During the war they had 168 members killed in action. The ribbon is nice white silk that has aged to a pretty tan color. The ribbon measures 8 inches by 2-1/4th inches in overall size. It comes in an acid free holder for display and preservation.
