This is a nice document that displays quite well. This is the accounting document that was used to record the amount of stationery used by the men of the 81st Illinois for the month of July 1865. It records the paper, pens and pencils and the like that were used by the men including officers and even the Chaplain. It is dated September 31st 1865 and was written in Montgomery, Alabama. The ink still displays exceptionally. It measures 15-3/4ths inches by 11-5/8s inches in overall size. It is a perfect size for framing.
