Scarce Version Navy 22mm Coat Button With Anchor & Eagle NA93
Click on an image to enlarge
Here is a button that you don't see offered very often! It is an original early 1-piece naval coat button. This is the pattern that is listed as the NA93 in Albert's button book. It has the Union style eagle in the center of the button with the anchor down below with the rope passing from left to right. Around the edge of the button it is made without the stars most of the navy buttons of the time have. The eagle and anchor are on the lined background. The face of the button has a beautiful look as you can see in the pic. On the reverse of the button it is made without a backmark. The shank is solid as a rock as you can see. This is a superb and scarce version 1-piece navy button from about the 1820's.
