Un-Issued New Orleans Canal & Banking Company $10 with Beautiful Designs

This is a true work of art as
much as it is a bank note. It is an original $10 note from the New Orleans
Canal & Banking Company in New Orleans, Louisiana. This one was never
issued as you can tell by the blanks where the names and signatures would have
gone. This note displays superbly and was never issued and it is from the
pre-Civil War era as they were not printed after the Civil War. In the center
it has the god and ship design with the four roman style busts on the sides. On
the lower part of the note it states that it is payable at the bank in New
Orleans or at the Bank of American in New York. The back of the note is unmarked just as it
should be. You can tell that these notes were crafted like a work of art and
not just printed as were so many of the pieces of the day. The note comes in an
acid free holder for display and preservation. What a fantastic display piece!
